La redazione del concorso per l'ideazione grafica della medaglia della Stranormanna 2023 ha avuto come obiettivo la valorizzazione di un evento di pubblica utilità: la gara podistica che, già da numerose edizioni, ha luogo in Aversa fra le strade cittadine. Il concorso è stato rivolto agli studenti del corso di laurea in 'Design e Comunicazione' del Dipartimento di Architettura e Disegno Industriale dell'Università 'Luigi Vanvitelli' all'interno del ‘Laboratorio di Graphic Creations’ per promuovere, sostenere e veicolare la sinergia con il territorio di appartenenza e sviluppare un progetto grafico che, attraverso il simbolo della medaglia, rappresentasse l'evento sportivo per eccellenza di Aversa capace di coinvolgere migliaia di persone provenienti dalla Campania e altre regioni.
La sinergia fra Dipartimento e Associazione L'Altra Aversa è stata occasione di riflessione durante una lezione universitaria dove sono state illustrate agli studenti in aula (più di 100) le ragioni che hanno spinto a cercare il coinvolgimento diretto dei giovani universitari rispetto a una cittadinanza attiva che, in questo caso, si esprime attraverso la realizzazione di eventi sportivi fortemente iconici.
Il concorso si è rivelato esempio virtuoso di diligente incontro fra Università e Territorio. Il 21 luglio 2023, sulla base dei criteri fissati dal bando di concorso e fra le proposte formulate, il Comitato di Valutazione ha scelto i primi tre disegni di progetto che, per originalità e realizzabilità, più di tutti hanno espresso la coerenza del soggetto rispetto all'evento.

The editorial staff of the competition for the graphic designing of the Medal for Stranormanna 2023 had as its objective the enhancement of a public interest event: a foot race that, for many editions, has been performed in Aversa, through its narrow, historical streets. The contest was addressed to the students of the degree course of 'Design and Communication' of the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design, inside the ‘Laboratory of Graphic Creations’, in order to promote, endorse and convey the synergism with the local territory, and to develop a graphic design that, through the symbol of the medal, could represent the perfect sport event of the city of Aversa.
The synergy between the Department and the Association L'altra Aversa has been an opportunity of reflection during an university lesson where have been explained to the students in the classroom (more than 100) the reasons that pushed him to try to involve directly all those university students as active citizens which express themselves through the realization of hardly iconic sport events like this.
The competition has been a virtuos example of the meeting between the University and the territory. On June the 21th, on the basis of the criteria set out in the competition notices, the Evaluation Committee chose the first 3 projects, that for originality and feasibility, expressed the coherence of the subject with the event and the city of Aversa.
